Who Can Enter the Great South Run?
The Great South Run is a charity event open to anyone capable of completing the task in hand. The event is seen as a great starting event for any novices looking to get into running long term, or for a group of friends or work colleagues to get together and raise money for a good cause. The only real restriction is age - All entrants must be at least 16 years of age to enter.
Disabled entrants are also invited to participate in the Great South Run due to the terrain involved along the route. The British Wheelchair Racing Association encourages competitive individuals to enter the elite racer event. Other disabled entrants looking to complete the task whilst being pushed is welcomed, but helpers will need to be registered separately.
